The Temple Beth Sholom Youth Campaign supports children of all ages, from tots to teens.
100% of proceeds benefit this cause, which seeks to:
- Renovate our outdoor spaces and playgrounds, which includes enhanced security features and conservation of our seawall.
- Replenish of our scholarship funds for school, summer camp and Israel experiences.
Here's an overview of how these funds will be allocated.
MAIN PLAYGROUND
• Outdated and underused equipment will be removed.
• Playground surface will be replaced.
• Play equipment will be replaced.
• The Meditation Garden will be beautified and iguana-proofed.
• Installation of butterfly garden.
• Bicycle path expanded to surround the playground.
• Bullet-proof security shelters to be custom made as child-friendly structures and play areas.
NAMING OPPORTUNITY: Main Playground | Seawall Conservation
The Meditation Garden is dedicated in loving memory of Cyril and Hazel Symons by their son Jonathan. Friendship Bench and educational materials provided by The Reckson Foundation; Marjorie Baron and Michael Spritzer.
Little Playground (main) is dedicated by the Pathman family.
THE LITTLE PLAYGROUND
• The front playground at Temple Beth Sholom is used by our infants, young toddlers and twos, providing a safe and inviting environment for our youngest children.
• A new heightened wall and gate is being considered for installation, for privacy and security.
• Ground materials and play equipment will be updated to meet the needs of this age group.

The Little Playground (front) is dedicated by Marjorie Baron and Michael Spritzer.
NATURE SCAPE
• Our side play area provides a natural environment where children can safely and freely play with elements found in nature.
• Space features different levels, nooks and crannies, and nurtures a child's instinct to connect to nature.
• Addition of flexible design structures, equipment and materials will invite the children's imaginations to soar.
• Fence and ground materials will be refreshed.
• Equipment will be replaced to facilitate our children exploring nature.
