Project Isaiah Returns During The High Holy Days 5783
Help us reach our goal of 5783 lbs of food!
Every year during the period between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur (September 25 through October 5 this year), Temple Beth Sholom partners with the Caleb and Calder Sloan Awesome Foundation to feed the food insecure in Miami-Dade County. Food and donations for Project Isaiah go to the Jewish Community Services Kosher Food Bank.
The Caleb and Calder Sloan Awesome Foundation are committed to this cause and this year the goal is 5783 pounds of food! The Foundation will match dollar for dollar by giving one dollar per pound of food AND per dollar donated.
How can you help? Fill a bag or box with cans of vegetables, fruits, beans, tuna, nut butters, rice, dry pasta, cereal, infant formula, and other non-perishable, non-expired foods. Drop it off at the inside collection area at Temple Beth Sholom (or drop off with security).
Your action at work: Last year the almost 4000 pounds of food and $8854 we donated fed 128,450 meals to people in need, so fill a bag or write a check!
Fill out the form below to give, or, write a check payable to the TBS Mitzvah Fund (please put Project Isaiah in the memo area) and mail to:
