Soup Us or Support Us

Temple Beth Sholom’s 7th annual Mitzvah Day 2020 Soup Contest is simmering with goodness!  Put up a kettle of soup and support this year’s mission.  We NEED home cooks and sponsors.

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, our friendly soup competition will warm hearts and souls to benefit this year’s charity, Florida Immigration Coalition (FLIC)   The mission of FLIC is to amplify the power of immigrant communities, to lessen the impact of inequality while defending and protecting basic human rights, including the right to live without fear.    Every cent from your soup and support goes to this worthy cause.  Create, sip and sample soup while making an important difference.

SOUP: Any variety is welcome: traditional, vegetarian, global, gluten-free, etc.  (We request no mixing of milk and meat and no shellfish/pork.)  Contestants should arrive at 1:30pm (TBS lobby) with a full kettle of soup for sampling.  We provide the station and set-up. Our celebrity judges will taste and rate the soups.  Additionally,  our community will vote for favorites.  Please cook and then invite all your friends!  We promise it will be a delicious afternoon.  LINK HERE
SUPPORT: And if cooking doesn’t whet your appetite, help support this great event.  We are seeking donations and sponsorships.  Every last “spoonful” goes directly to FLIC.
