This year Confirmation I will begin in 9th Grade as part of a two-year program of high school level Jewish learning. It will be led by Rabbi Ethan Bair (fall) and Rabbi Joanne Loiben (spring), with the 9th grade trip led by Rabbi Loiben. With this framing, Confirmation I (9th Grade) will focus on wellness of body, mind and spirit and respectful relationships. Topics to be covered include: healthy habits; body image, consent and respect toward self; relationship well-being and respect towards others; sex education; personal identity, growth and expression; and spiritual well-being including prayer, Shabbat and mindfulness—all through a Jewish lens.

Confirmation Part 2: Grade 10 | Mondays, 7:00–8:00 pm

Rabbi Gayle Pomerantz (fall) and Rabbi Robert A. Davis (spring) will lead Confirmation Part 2, with the L’Taken trip to Washington D.C. through the RAC (February 7-10) led by Rabbi Bair.

Questions Google Can’t Answer: Why be Jewish?  To whom should I give?  For whom am I responsible?  What is family? Who is God?

Learn, grow, challenge and discuss with Rabbis Pomerantz and Davis.  Have fun, too.
