Grade 9: Kulam
Twice monthly | Monday evening | 6:30-8:00pm (includes dinner!)
Our Kulam curriculum from Moving Traditions engages Jewish teens in dynamic and authentic conversations in order to think reflectively, act courageously, and develop healthy, honest relationships. In this program, Jewish teens ask big questions about where, why, and how they belong while exploring issues of identity, equity, and justice.
Grade 10: Confirmation
Weekly | Monday evening | 6:30-8:00pm (includes dinner!)
The 10th Grade experience focuses on “Questions Google Cannot Answer: Why be Jewish? To whom should I give? For whom am I responsible? What is family? Who is G-d?” Learners will study, grow, challenge, and discuss with the clergy and with one another. This year also includes the L’Taken experience with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, DC, and culminates in a beautiful ceremony of Confirmation in the spring.
Grades 11 & 12: Fellowships
Twice monthly
Our Fellowships provide opportunities to build your resume and character through a Jewish lens.
Israel Fellowship: an Israel advocacy fellowship that focuses on dialogue and interchange surrounding topics that confront American teens on college campuses and beyond.
Justice League Fellowship: a social justice fellowship that focuses on creating change in our environment, both physically and metaphorically. Through physical justice projects as well as advocacy training, teens will learn what it takes to truly make change in our world.
Fellowship applications can be acquired through Rabbi Joanne Loiben.
