In 2003, 120 Temple Beth Sholom families created the Circle of Giving to ensure the financial stability of our temple and guarantee the inclusiveness of our programs. Circle of Giving recognizes full-time, full dues paying members who give an additional contribution of $250 or more through their Annual Commitment to Temple Beth Sholom. You may join Circle of Giving at any point during the year, including when submitting your Annual Commitment form to start or renew membership with Temple Beth Sholom. Donations to our High Holy Day Appeal will enhance your total Annual Commitment.

Funds raised by the Circle of Giving allow Temple Beth Sholom to provide vital resources for members who are unable to pay the full Annual Commitment or service fees. This includes:

  • assisting our older members with financial need due to fixed incomes
  • subsidizing our younger members as they begin their lives in our community
  • helping families and individuals with limited means or other hardships

Circle of Giving Recognition Levels

  • Sustainer     $4,000 to $5,499 (varies by membership category*)
  • Guardian      $5,500 to $9,999
  • Benefactor   $10,000 to $17,999
  • Pillar             $18,000 and above

* If you are a full-time, full dues paying member or a Temple Beth Sholom Innovative School (TBSIS) family where you are paying full tuition and your standard dues are included, it is only an additional $250 per year to become a Sustainer in the Circle of Giving. Circle of Giving donors are recognized in Temple Beth Sholom publications.

We thank those who continue to generously support this effort. Please consider joining or renewing your commitment to our Circle of Giving today.

Workplace Matching Gifts: Many companies offer matching-gift programs and can increase the impact of your donation. Your company or your significant other’s job may offer a match. A matching gift will be counted toward your Annual Commitment.
