A Sacred Pilgrimage Toward Jewish Adulthood
One of the most impacting educational experiences that our children have at Temple Beth Sholom to participate in is an innovative program entitled da’at.dat, or “know the religion”. This program connects the “dots” for our post B’nai Mitzvah students and takes them on a sacred pilgrimage toward their Jewish adulthood.
Da’at.dat is an exciting program for our post-B’nai Mitzvah students, offering an alternative and informal format to our existing Tuesday evening program. The text-based curriculum is a metaphoric and real journey, from Jewish Florida to Jewish America to Jewish Relationships and Israel to Transforming the World to Realization of the adult self. Grades 8 through 12 will meet independently, with times and days dependent on the program activity. Some programs will last one hour, while others will be late night, one day, or even a weekend retreat. Travel and discovery are key elements in the curriculum, with destinations that include New York, Washington, Israel, the Florida Keys, and more. . .
We invite you to explore da'at.dat and become part of it.
