Elizabeth joined the accounting department at Beth Sholom in July 2008. She grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, and earned a degree in history from Boston College. After graduating, Elizabeth lived in Chicago for several years before coming to South Florida. She moved to Miami in May 2007 and lives on South Beach.

She has been fortunate enough to find such a warm and welcoming place to work in Temple Beth Sholom. Elizabeth has learned much about Jewish culture through the generosity of the Temple Beth Sholom congregation and their willingness to include her in their traditions. As she continues to learn, she values her role in supporting an institution that has such a positive impact on the Miami Beach community and beyond.

Li-Mor Raviv grew up in Jerusalem with parents who escaped from the Nazis. She is one of four daughters. After three years in the Israeli Defense Force, she moved to New York City, where she earned a BFA in Advertising Design, and worked for Young & Rubicam as an Art Director. During that time, Li-Mor received her pilot’s license, but was rejected by NASA.

In 1996, Li-Mor received her Master’s in Communications from Clark University. She moved back to Jaffo, Israel, worked as Creative Director and taught Creative Thinking in various Art Schools and at The Open University, and kept on flying. In 1998, Li-Mor became the Curator of an Art Collection of Modern Israeli Art that raised money for the AIDS Task Force in Israel.

In November 2000, Danielle Raviv-Garbi was born. Shortly after, Li-Mor and her infant daughter joined Danielle’s father, who lived on a sailboat in Trinidad. The three of them traveled together for almost 2 years throughout the Caribbean Sea, between Trinidad and Miami Beach, stopping at almost every island, including Cuba.

In the summer of 2003, Danielle was ready to start running on land, so boat-life had to end. Li-Mor’s new adventure was travelling South Florida with “Shows for Art”, an Art Collection of young Israeli artists that she represented.  In 2005, Temple Beth Sholom offered her a position as Clergy Assistant.

Besides her love for working and learning from the great TBS Rabbis, Li-Mor is also a certified Life & Business Coach (University of Miami), a vegetarian and an avid runner.  Let her know if you want to join her on her runs!
