IMG_4385“Sisters in the ‘Hood” is the women’s auxiliary arm of Temple Beth Sholom.  We have a modern, revitalized vision of what each woman can offer to temple life.  As a dynamic, engaging group of women, we bring many important and meaningful interests to the fore.  We gather together to host a variety of different monthly events, from Rosh Chodesh to challah baking, to diverse Jewish learning experiences.  We proudly fall under the larger national organization of Women of Reform Judaism.

Our Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood, re-energized as Sisters in the ‘Hood, has been lending a helping hand, like many synagogue sisterhoods across the country, for years. We are behind-the-scenes partners with Temple Beth Sholom, as we continue to support….

We are very excited to offer a “Shabbat 101” class for all beginners! Our esteemed chef, Michelle Green, and members of our clergy will teach us the art of “feeding our bodies and souls”, from preparing a scrumptious Shabbat dinner to leading the table blessings.

Join Sarah Giller Nelson, Temple member and owner of “Less is More Organizing Services, Inc.”, as she reveals her secrets to getting your home organized for Passover and beyond.  During the program, you will learn easy tips for organizing your kitchen, closet, and other hot spots; and receive motivation, sympathy, and encouragement to finally “let go” of the clutter. Come armed with your toughest organizing dilemmas – Sarah’s talk concludes with an “Ask the Organizer” session.

Bio: Since founding Less is More Organizing Services in 2010, professional organizer Sarah Giller Nelson has shown hundreds of families how less clutter, stress, and discord will lead to more time, balance, and happiness. Her expertise has led to TV, radio, and press interviews in local and national publications. Most recently, Sarah was selected as one of Miami’s top closet organizers by The Container Store and  by Modern Luxury Miami magazine.
