THE MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
Becoming a Part of the Temple
During your initial membership process, you will meet with either Mark Baranek, Director of Congregational Engagement, Alice Miller, Executive Director or Sharon Hoffman, Director of Member Services. We want to introduce you to as many of our staff as possible. Determining your needs and interests is an integral part of initiating membership with our congregation.
There are many ways and many different levels with which you and your family can be involved in the Temple. From attending weekly services to attending adult education classes, religious school, workshops, special events, committee work, tzedakah projects, or joining a Chavurah group, Temple Beth Sholom has an outstanding array of meaningful and creative programming to offer you.
WE WORK WITH YOU TO
ESTABLISH A LEVEL OF
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
THAT IS APPROPRIATE TO
YOUR FAMILY'S SITUATION
Membership in Temple Beth Sholom is open to all, regardless of means. Our annual commitment is based on a suggested standard amount and on one's ability to pay, regardless of one's use of the various programs the Temple offers. This structure enables all who are interested to join the Temple and contribute. The policy of Temple Beth Sholom is that no one is refused membership for financial reasons. Individuals and families who cannot meet our suggested standard commitment because of financial difficulties may request an adjustment which will be handled in a confidential manner with Alice Miller, Executive Director. We accept Visa and MasterCard, and extended monthly payment options are available.
We will welcome you into your new
congregational family. Our members are ready
to meet you and get acquainted.
