The mid-week Hebrew Program of the Rabbi Leon Kronish School for Living Judaism is extensive and wide-ranging.
For children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, we offer our NITZANIM Program on Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Students in 3rd and 4th grades meet Mondays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 5th and 6th graders meet Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Children are assigned to the regular mid-week class based on their secular school grade level.
A Tutorial Program is offered as well on Wednesdays for 3rd and 4th graders and Thursdays for our 5th and 6th graders. Hebrew tutors will be available to teach our children Hebrew reading and writing skills. The Tutorial Program is optional for children in 3rd and 4th grades. However, it is an integral component for our 5th and 6th grades. Tutorials will have approximately 3-4 children per group. Components of the class are Hebrew reading and writing, Tefillah, Torah Portion of the Week, Jewish Holidays, and other Judaic topics. In distinction, the Tutorial Program is geared to Hebrew reading and writing only. It is organized into different levels. Children will be continuously evaluated to be sure that they are in the group level which most closely meets their needs.
