Ages 13 - 18 Numerous opportunities are available for Teens as they end Middle School, begin High School, and look towards College.
da'at.dat
Connect the Dots: A Sacred Pilgrimage Toward Jewish Adulthood, da'at.dat is an exciting new program for our post B'nai Mitzvah students, offering an alternative and informal format to our existing Tuesday evening program. The text based curriculum is a metaphoric and real journey from Jewish Florida to Jewish America to Jewish Relationships and Israel to Transforming the World to Realization of the Adult Self.
8th - 12th Grades will meet independently, with times and dates dependent on the program activity. Some programs will last one hour, while others will be late night, one day, or even a weekend retreat. Travel and discovery are key elements in the curriculum, with destinations that will include New York, Washington, Israel, the Florida Keys and more...
Judaic High School
Every Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M., our 8th 12th Grader are offered classes on a variety of subjects ranging from ethics to textual study to comparative religion and much more. In addition, 11th and 12th graders have an opportunity to earn College credit by remaining in the program. This is a wonderful way to accumulate early credits and continue one's important Jewish education.
BESHTY
We offer two different groups for these ages. Our 7th and 8th graders are in Jr. BESHTY, while our 9th - 12th graders are in Sr. BESHTY. These groups offer social, cultural, and religious programming. Activities include guest speakers, Mitzvah projects, outings, and social events. Involvement helps our young adults gain self esteem, maturity, and develop strong relationships with other Jewish youth. Our youth group is affiliated with NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) and participates in regional and national conventions, camps, and activities. Our teens participate in the NFTY summer trip to Israel following their Confirmation year in 10th Grade.
