Saturday, April 7 – 10:00 a.m. Shabbat Parashat Chol Hamoed Pesach Service
Rabbi Robert A. Davis
Monday, April 9 - 10:00 a.m.
7th day of Passover/Yizkor Service
The last day of Passover is one of the 4 times during the year that we have a memorial service, called Yizkor (other times are Yom Kippur, Shavuot and Sukkot) We invite everyone to join us for this sacred service which follows the reading of the torah and haftorah.
Yizkor is based on the Jewish belief in the eternity of the soul. Although a soul can no longer do good deeds after death, it can gain merit through the charity and good deeds of the living.
Temple Beth Sholom Offices and School will be closed on Monday, April 9 in observance of Passover.
We have officially moved into our new building. When coming to visit the Clergy, Administrative offices or the Education Department, please enter through the Welcome Center and check in with our Receptionist. She will announce your arrival to the person with whom you have an appointment and they will meet you in the Welcome Center.
We are looking for greeters/docents and/or people to work in the Welcome Center. If you can volunteer for a 2 hour shift on a regular basis, please contact Ariane Davis at ext. 258. We are putting together a corps of Volunteers, our B'nai Shalom, to be a part of our beautiful new Welcome Center.

Young Professionals Who are we? Temple Beth Sholom Young Professionals consists of adults mainly in our 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who are looking to make friends, explore our Judaism and connect with the South Florida Jewish community at Temple Beth Sholom. Some of us are couples and many are single. We organize fun programs and events as a large Chavurah would. Programs are designed to address what we want to explore- some are purely fun and social, some engage us intellectually and spiritually. Young Professionals are planning more fun activities. Photos of past events are posted on the temple website. Please visit: www.tbsmb.org go to Community/ Young Professionals.
Adult B’nai Mitzvah Are you among the many who can’t distinguish an aleph from a bet? Have you always wanted to learn to read Hebrew “one day?” Would you like to be called to the Torah for the first time? If you answered “YES!” to any of the above questions, you may be interested in signing up for a new adult b’nai mitzvah class that will be starting on April 17, 2007. The class will be taught on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m. for one hour a week. Please contact Rabbi Davis if you are interested in more information: rarad@tbsmb.org.
